Catarina B. Rodrigues

April 28, 1934 - July 20, 2025

RODRIGUES – Catarina B. “Teca”, age 91 of Randolph formerly of Milton and Dorchester, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 20, 2025 surrounded by family.

A faithful servant, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend……With deep sorrow and enduring faith in God’s promise, we announce the passing of Catarina Rodrigues on July 20,2025, at the age of 91. A proud Cape Verdean woman and devoted Catholic, Catarina lived a life rooted in love, family, and service to others.

Born in Atalia Fogo, Catarina carried the heart and spirit of Cape Verde wherever she went. She passed on its traditions through her cooking, music, language, and most of all, her love. Her home was always full of warmth, not just from the delicious food on the stove, but from the love she poured into everyone who walked through her door.

Catarina was the devoted mother of four children, proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, and joyful great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she gave of herself completely to ensure they were always cared for, supported, and loved.

But Catarina’s generosity extended far beyond her family. She was known throughout her community as someone who welcomed neighbors and extended relatives with kindness, compassion, and dignity. She offered food, shelter, and prayer without hesitation, treating everyone with the love of Christ. Her house was a place of comfort, laughter, and healing.

Her deep Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. Catarina was a woman of daily prayer, faithful devotion to the Rosary, and committed service to her church. Her strength came from her relationship with God, and she lived every day with grace, humility, and gratitude.

Catarina leaves behind a legacy of love and selflessness. She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a large extended family who will continue to honor her spirit and her example.

Teca was a true matriarch for her family and all those who were around her. Her family was the heart of her world, a vibrant tapestry woven with love and laughter. Each child brought a unique color to her life, enriching her days and fillings her hom with joy.

She cherished the moments spent together - from simple family dinners to holiday celebrations bursting with excitement. Every milestone, no matter how small, was a treasure in her eyes, a testament to the deep bonds they shared.

Her love for her children was unwavering, guiding them through life's challenges and trimphs. They were not just her children; they were her greatest masterpieces, her legacy, and a source of immense pride and happiness.

Beloved wife of the late Jose Miguel Rodrigues. Devoted mother of Manuel da Cruz Rodrigues and his wife Maria of Florida, Miguel “Miloca” Rodrigues and his wife Argentina of Braintree, Dr. Maria Ana Rodrigues and her husband Antonio Centeio of Milton and Maria Estela B. Rodrigues of Randolph.

Cherished grandmother of Peter, Jason, Jeffrey, Christina, Justin, Cristian and the late Miguel. Adoring great-grandmother of Ava, Jaxon, and Julian. Also survived by many loving extended family and friends.
